Hate Them is nothing like the older albums, A Blaze In The Northern Sky, Under A Funeral Moon ect. It was over-producted and the name is just to boring I think they should head back to the fuckin' garage for the next recording.

The best Darkthrone-Album since "Panzerfaust"! Great.

This sucks just like all darkthrone. They should quit putting out this shit. Its a disgrace to true black metal. Fuck You Darkthrone!!!

great album...one of DARKTHRONEs best...
for me the first song is the most convinsing...
and hey, it is better to produce it this way than to have a sound like on "Transyl..."...

"Hate Them" is a good release, although I first thought it was an unworthy sequel to the unworthy "PlagueWielder". Favorite songs from the album are: "Rust", "Det Svarte Nå", "Striving for a Piece of Lucifer". I guess Darkthrone isn't dead after all. 8/10

Darkthrone IS true black metal

I totally fuckin agree that this album is killer!!
Best since Panzerfaust, so fuckin primitive.

This is a great record. Yeah, yeah, it's not "true" Darkthrone. Whatever. This has more in common with blackened thrash bands like Destroyer 666 and Grand Belial's Key. I'm glad they went in this direction instead of just doing Transylvanian Hunger over and over. The album does have some weak spots. Best songs for me are Rust, Divived We Stand and Fucked Up and Ready to Die. If you're a real metalhead, and dig bands like Celtic Frost and Motorhead, you'll most likely dig this. If you listen to nothing but grim "true" black metal, then you'll be complaining right away.

I do not think that it is very good album as I consider whole DARKTHRONE. But it is very good as we look at our today's scene.....

Hate Them rules!!!
Is one of the best darkthrine albums, but it isn't better by Blazing In The Northern Sky,Transylvanian hanger ......
DARKTHRONE RULESSSSSS!!!

This album is more raw and primitive than their two previous releases ("Ravishing Grimness (1999)", "Plaguewielder (2001)"). It feels like a more genuine Darkthrone album. In other words, the Feeling is there, the feeling of cold, misanthropic hatred... That's why we love Darkthrone!

it´s a great grim, interesting and intelligent peice of work, and darkthrone once again claims the throne of primitive true norsk black metal!!9/10

With this one Darkthrone has left the floating stream of metal, and have made a melodic, still dirty, but great-sounding album. Maybe not for the ones who liked TRANSYLVANIAN HUNGER and UNDER A FUNERAL MOON, this one have much more music than brutallity and dirtyness.

Utter shit like all the other modern Darkthrone. Just crap, boring stuff. No atmosphere no coldness no darkness nothing. Complete waste of time.

This album is really fucking great. I hate when people say this isn't true black metal. Yes it is. This is true black metal. Buy it and be "Fucked up and ready to Die!!!"

I love this album, but the last track confused me. Sounds like a black metal southern rock song? Weird, but again, the evolution of Darkthrone, only at mid phase, I havent heard SW yet, but I can't wait. Hail Darkthrone!

here we are with the under a funeral moon recurrence and maybe the second best darkthrone album (panzerfaust being the first).
Of course, the best black metal lyrics of all times, metrically put on a motorhead-like music with a morbid taste. when fenriz says that black metal is a religion, this is his unholy bible, no doubt.
WE'RE ALL SINKING DEEPER INTO THE FABRIC, THEY DON'T WANT TO ENCOURAGE US,THEY,TRILINGUAL BABEL BASTARDS!!! OUR ANSWER: HATE AT FIRST SIGHT!!! WHEN WE MEET: LET'S LEAVE THIS SINKING SHIP TOGHETER, WE'RE ALL FUCKED UP AND READY TO DIE...WHEN WE MEET, AND WE KNOW THAT DIVIDED WE STAND, LET'S BURN, BURN THROUGH BLACK METAL, BURN THROUGH THE DEVIL'S FUEL.....AT LAST, WE'LL SEE WHO STAND, WHEN THE SMOKE CLEARS...
