Better than Colony? I don't think so. Though it has better songs like absolutely cool "Bullet Ride" and "Suburban Me". Also couple more favorites, "Square Nothing" and "Clayman". Has almost same kind of sounds that was used in "Colony". I like the superb sounds, but somehow it's not as good as said. But definitely better than the "Lunar Strain"-incident.

This band does not have the right idea. They used to be great, but now...they're nothing. This band was great back in their days of "The Jester Race", and even "Colony", but this CD has no more than two tracks worth listening to. "Bullet Ride" and "Pinball Map."

I think this is one of their best albums.
Buy or die!

dude! this is the best and last good if album...every song on it kicks so much ass, i can't even beleive it. theres not that much clean vocals and when there is, anders makes up for it by screaming his ass off, i love it all. colony and whoracle were good but got boring. this one is never boring, very good, not exactly death metal, let's just say it's gothenburg death metal(melodic) finally.you must buy! you wont be let down! my promise!

Good, album. The fast "Pinball Map" is a crazy one. All tracks are good, but just can't reach what "Colony" did the last year.

This CD is amazing! I love practically every track (especially only for the weak, brush the dust away, clayman and world of promises). Clayman or Colony definately their best CD ever. Get this CD its a must

Not as good as Colony, but still an above-average album with catchy riffs and many elements the same as Colony. Every song is solid, and the transitions between slower, more pensive sections of the songs flow nicely as seen in Square Nothing and Satellites and Astronauts (a true In Flames original). A very good album that builds off the success of Colony.

Clayman is always a touchy subject while talking about In Flames. I'm sure you're aware of how much their music has declined recently, and there is no doubt that Clayman isn't as good of an album as Colony, Whoracle, Jester, Subterrenian, or Lunar Strain. The style of Clayman is very similar to that of Clayman, considering the only huge difference in the sound is the vocals. There's also a lot of filler songs in this album.

The album begins with Bullet Ride, which is one of the "good" songs on it. It sounds much better live, but it's a pretty solid song when compared to everything IF has done after Clayman. I'm no fan of Anders' vocals, but they fit very well into this song.

The next song on the linup is the fast paced Pinball Map. It sounds different than anything In Flames has done, but it isn't a particularly good track. It's far too repetitive for my tastes.

The third song on the CD is Only for the Weak. It has seen much critisizm for the keyboards at the start (most of which was done after the crapiness of Cloud Connected was witnessed), but I find them quite fitting. That may be because I'm into Industrial music and "Tanz-Metal", but it sounds good nontheless. It definately shows their pop influences, but it is quite well excecuted unlike Soundtrack to your Escape.

As the Future Repeats Today has to be the first song on the cd that I'd consider "filler". Anders' vocals at the start of it are really bad, and neither the guitars nor the drums are doing anything interesting. I fast forwarded about 20 seconds 4 times, and it sounded exactly the same each time. Way too repetitive.

The next song, Square Nothing, starts off in a pretty boring manner, but once the intro part of the song is over, it makes a decent song. There's nothing particularly interesting, and I'd call it filler..

Next, we have Clayman. This song is the first of a few that really redeems this CD and makes it worth buying. Anders' vocals are pretty well done both live and on the CD, and the entire song sounds very good. It isn't too repetitive, it's unique, and it's on the fast side. The only thing it's lacking is a guitar solo..

Now, we have Satellites And Astronauts. This song is very slow when compared to Clayman. It's strategically placed in the CD to say the least. It's a pretty good song despite Anders butchering the pronounciation of "Astronauts" a billion times. It's not exactly metal, but it's a nice break from it in the middle of the CD.

Brush The Dust Away isn't anything spectacular. If it wasn't for the drums being louder and faster than usual, it would be indistinguishable from the other "filler" songs. I'd consider it borderline filler; it's actually a pretty decent song.

Swim is the second song that makes this CD worth buying. The instrumentation is very well done and not repetitive at all, and this song has the best "intro" of any In Flames song yet. They also do a pretty good job of playing this one live -- it's an exciting song, and what I'd consider to be the perfect balance between pop and metal for In Flames.

Suburban Me isn't a very good song in my opinion. The instrumentation is very good, but Anders' vocals really take a lot away from this song. It's not filler, but it's definately no Swim.

Another Day in Quicksand isn't a song that makes this CD worth buying, but it's leaps and bounds beyond filler. This song's worth your time to listen to, but it's no "Swim". Anders' vocals sound pretty good compared to how they usually are, and they actually fit into this song. It's like Clayman without the screaming. The song itself isn't very repetitive and it's a unique song in general.\

World of Promises.. I'd describe it as "As catchy as Only for the Weak, with the sound of Suburban Me, and the vocals of Colony". I'd say this is the 3rd best song on the CD next to Swim and Clayman. It isn't repetitive, it's interesting, the vocals blend very well, etc. Good song.

The last track on the CD is Strong and Smart. The start of the song is very promising -- it starts out with a catchy tune and the speed of Pinball Map. It's a good song over-all, but not much of a "Grand Finale". If I were In Flames, World of Promises would be the last song and this one put before it. It isn't filler, but it isn't awesome. It's good.

Over-all, this CD is worth buying. I'm not saying this is a Whoracle or a Jester Race, but I'm saying this is In Flames' last good album, and definately overlooked.
