Amazing album!! I was waiting this album impatiently and i must admit i am not disappointed,,,NOT AT ALL! I'm really not very good at expressing my opinion,So i'll just tell you that my favorite songs are "felonies of the christian are" "sacrifice on vengeance" "the soul receiver" and especially "agony of fallen grace" which are great great great songs,I really get mad when i listen to these ones,Notice that Nicholas Barker is playing drums on this album if you see what i mean :D
9,5/10

Well, I have listened to it, but in my humble opinion...it sucks. It sounds a bit like Dimmu Borgir's "Puritanical...".
I also don't quite like the vocals, they are boring.

It's not really a good cd, but it is also not bad, I give it a 6/10

I am suprised by the low voting score, this is a great album. Very Dimmu like, that is the best way to describe it. Top notch production, awesome playing, one of the best Old Mans Childs to date.

Well,I heard that before....where?Dimmu Borgir offcourse.Yes,it is technical great, good sound, and bla bla...but nothing special, nothing that we haven't heard before. But if you like dimmu style or melodic-sympho black and you can't get enough of this style you should have it.
6/10

I am surprised by the low score this album recieved. The only other Old Man's Child album I have beside this one is Born of the flickering, but this is light years ahead of that one. The production, for one thing is amazing on this one, and I have some Dimmu Borgir albums and bootlegs, and this is light years more brutal and haunting than any dimmu album or song ever. I just don't get why people think this sounds like dimmu borgir. This sound is just amazing. When I first heard Black Seeds on Virgin Soil I about lost my head. The layers of these songs are all encompassing. I can't keep this thing out of my cd player, every time you hear a different nuance in a song to make you fall in love with this thing all over again. I keep trying to put in other cds I have and I always turn them off after two songs and put this back in. This is the most original black metal album I have ever heard.

...hum...i must admit i gave an opinion a bit too early \(-_-; This album's good, very good but not so exciting after all.Quickly became boring after some listenings.Still good though.

I love old man's child, but this has got to be their weakest effort, really. the vocals are too boring, as if galder doesn't have the enthusiasm to sing anymore. also, i was expecting this release to be like revelation 666, but it's such a shame. i give it 5/10

I donīt know what the fuck theres wrong with him 666_isthmar_666! to give this cd 5 out of 10 stars is a completly mistake!!! This cd is one of the greatest albums that mastermind Galder (Grusom) has made!!! This cd has totally disurved 6 stars, or as this site may say, 10 out of 10! YEAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

This ceedee is fuckin bad and so is old mans child.
I think people that claim to be black metal fans( that rate bands like these guys and dimmu, very lowly need to stay the hell of these sites.)
We dont need your negativity so do us all a favor and go listen to some pop or rap.

Also some one else mentioned that grusom seems bored with singing. Not true, not true at all he just changed his vocals to take a more calm approach he still sounds bad ass to me.

Overall OMC is and will always be awsome so buy the cd!

I've been fan of this group for many years, and definitely "In Defiance Of Existance" is my very favorite CD. Galder has learned so much in this years, from his personal experiences and from his stance in Dimmu Borgir. Excelent atmosphere and original melodies. Strongly Recommended. 10/10.

IN DEFIANCE OF EXISTANCE 10/10

FILE : 6th release from the master Galder. Along with his accomplaces Jardar and Nicolas Barker.

THE GOOD...
Very nice, A mixture between Born of the Flickering and Ill natured Spiritual Invasion. As usual Galder creates most of everything the album has to offer( The cd is awash in heavy-shredding guitar cords and very original sounding synth riffs.)And Nic(the fatso uses triggers,uh...fatty)Barker is outstanding on the drums.

THE BAD...
Tom Rune Anderson is Grusom no longer. Pity...because it fitted his madman stage smile more then Galder(whatever the hell that means )does. Oh about the album, nothing missing here (completely flawless in my opinion!)

THE UGLY...
Well... there is definetly nothing to ugly about this album( Except maybe fatbarker...trigger-bitch)

POPULLAR TRACKS INCLUDE...
#1 Felonies of the christian Art
#2 Agony of Fallen Grace
#3 Black Seeds on Virgin Soil
#6 The Soul Receiver
#9 Life Deprived

IN DEFIANCE OF EXISTANCE 10/10 (flawless)
