In Mourning
The Weight of Oceans

1. Colossus

New moon awakening. Casting light upon a dream
And it starts haunting, the storm building up
The spirits are awakening, losing hours to the ghost
And then the rain, it came crushing down.

Falling rocks leave the wounded ground, in the doorway the stood.
The ghosts are whispering their name, no sleep,
colossus is calling.

Destined to swallow the shore, the depths splits the surface
Raised it's cold hands to the sky to become controller of earth and wood.

A constellation of stars embodied, descent to walk among the pale.
Colossus colliding, the coral giant strides along the shore

2. A Vow To Conquer The Ocean

The screaming winds are begging, no choice, no options left
But to seek aid from the ancient ones, deserters of the coral legion
Memories from a golden age, unveiling knowledge to navigate by the stars
A haunted heart to leave it's home and ride the waves

Stars align to give guidance
Sail away under the darkening sky, as red turns to black
The night illuminates the path
Sail away, mind made up to make a vow to conquer the ocean

The day the sun forgot to shine, the stars carved something out of the sky
A wooden gift to a haunted heart, for a distorted mind the tide will turn
From a windswept shore, left it's home. Years and years entangled in affliction
Stared into the eye of the giant, and time stuck it's head in the sand

3. From A Tidal Sleep

A deafening sound echoed through the mist
A warm breeze gave the choice of silence to the wind
But the wind grabbed the water to summon the black clouds of the sky
And to open up the eyes of the grieving heaven

Leaving the depths to quench the thirst with rain
A drink from the hands that created the past

Rain upsets the cold surface, wakes what sleeps beneath the ocean floor
Tantrum rises from it's tidal sleep to crack the surface of this very earth

Water, the bringer of strength to release the wave
Storm bursts out from the giant's mouth

When salt danced with the flames, the ocean and the sky spoke with fire
No sign of light at the horizon, Orion has faded, torn from above
Fell down from the heavens to be lost in the storm
Descended are the sons of the sky, to repel the assailing wave

The power of two wills divided by hate
In the last minutes of the tide, the hands of the foe held the saviors throat

A gathering to summon the dark hunter
Bursting into flames, cutting their strings from the heavens to fall
Into a towering battle between the stars and the sea
Face to face, the hunter stared into the storm

4. Celestial Tear

So swift, embraced by you, you're silent, I travel alone
I breathe in memories, through barricades of stone

Who are you, I once met light from another angle, in another time
In your eyes, a solitaire, a vast dream far behind
If you were blind, if we were blind, could we then have been much closer

Fallen inside you, a celestial tear
If the waves could drown our emotions, would it be my fault
I cry for you a celestial tear
If we were only memories from other times

Who are you, I once met light from other angles, and other crimes
I breathe in memories through barricades of stone
If you were close, if we were close, would we then have been much blinder

5. Convergence

Bleak, the sky is pale or is it the water
Vapor conceals the ends and the beginnings
Adrift between awake and asleep, the stillness entwines a wavering mind

Awake, the trail forms through transparent walls
To make way for stars to walk the surface
The silence enshrouded in a halo of light, to wake the sleeper

Wake up son, the storm is over
Don't let yourself slumber in the arms of the frail
It's time to remember why you are here
With fire to open the eyes of the hunter
The flow of time will not stay and wait for you
Rise before you crumble under the weight of oceans

A convergence of the lost light
To spark the flame that drowned in the storm

Who are you to abandon faith, you made the promise to conquer the ocean
A fall into oblivion, leaving the reborn to the black sea

Light climbing down, embodying the hunter
With fire to open up the eyes of the weary
He came with the call of the lost legion
With voices of the ancient ones, asking for remembrance

6. Sirens

[Instrumental]

7. Isle Of Solace

Haggard body, frail existence
Breaking through the waves, grasping for a cold surface
Swimming in uncertainty towards undefined nothing
When a dream is dying, the water is an endless foe
Agony ridden desolate struggle
Underneath the dark lies an unending depth

One foot hit the bottom, a cold touch of the ocean floor
A brief glimpse of hope, a sight of a coming relief
Loosing contact, slipping away from the newfound reverie

Slither ashore on newfound soil
Salt meets sand, cleansing the hands of the wounded
Illusionary shelter
Stranded on illusive ground, an island in a dream of solace

Trembling ascends from inside of the island
Given new life, the land awoke from it's ancient rest
Arms shot like towers through the foam and the waves
Surrounding and closing in, pulled under and torn deep down

A stream of emptiness from underneath sweeps it all away
Rising in the distance, apparition
An island lures a dreamer on the verge between life and ocean

Sinking away, with a final breath of water

8. The Drowning Sun

The air from a starlit sky opens the eyes in another moon awakening
Stranded again without memories, not knowing where or how, not knowing why

An ocean haunted mind on the shore of a new beginning
Tired eyes gaze to abandoning skies, one last time reaching for guidance

A faded star appears, hanging by the silent horizon

And the sun fell from the sky, no hands could reach that very far
Drifting apart, so out of remedy
And the sun left like it knew, never spoke of what to come
Left faith flickering in a nebulous end

A drowning sun at the end of the day, star guider leading to nowhere
Questioning the coming end, is this what is meant to be the closing chronicle

A lonesome voyager at the end of the road
Star guider left an omega in spirit, in mind
A lost vow of an ocean that could not be conquered
Hope died the day the sun fell down

9. Voyage Of A Wavering Mind

Misguided unredeemer, mortal seeker of truth
Cold and endless ocean, undefeated is this giant
Star guider, a pathfinder cast into oblivion
