first death metal album i ever bought because my freind told me that the drums sounded like a machine gun when he saw them on german MTV but dont all death metal drummers? | Review by: unicron haha. this was the album that introduced me to cannibal corpse! a damn fine CD I might add!! its too bad about chris barnes though. Six feet under fucking suck... Review by: chemicalmind this cd sucks they should have released the versions with barnes on vocals fisher just doesnt cut it when it comes to barnes this is where cannibal corpse made their biggest mistake "FISHER" Review by: cannibalcollier ok... this will come as a suprise to the others that were fans of the 'corpse since there earlier days. but VILE is their BEST album. I will say it once, FISHER IS BETTER THAN BARNES, hold on you didn't understand, FISHER IS MUCH MORE TALENTED THEN BARNES. Must I articulate? Barnes could really right the lyrics, but he just didn't really perform. He was boring. Fisher is fucking incredible next to him. This album had their best songwriting, although not the best lyrically. This is were they came to grips with their talent. Rob Barrett turned out to be a good addition to the corpse, although he left the band shortly after Vile was released. (The Bleeding had me thinking he was going to make this album suck too) But they fucking turned around, fixed themselves and made up for THE BLEEDING. This is Paul M's best work right here. Just about every song is good, when i pop this album in i listen to the whole thing. not a whole lot of bands get this from me. Definitely one of the best death metal albums out. 10/10. And fisher was way better than barnes...... listen to six feet under, what the fuck is that shit? Review by: hellboy506 the last worty cannibal album.the sound is diferent than every other album. Review by: fredeath My first CC album actually, and this brings back a lot of memories. Devoured By Vermin is really heavy in places and the stuff they do on Mummified In Barbed Wire is just fucking awesome! There are a lot of memorable songs for me on this one. This is also the first album with George Fisher and his grunting is way faster and you can actually hear what he grunts in places. Critics never really rate this album very good, but in my opinion this one is not to be overlooked! So add it to your CC collection, if you don't already own it ;) Review by: Dismember
