i was pretty surprised of this record because of the guitar sound...instead the usual "pissed-killer-bee" sound we have a rather deep but not less sick sound...in other words the right one to create music wich is as cold as your heart should be. the songs change between high tempo and very slow and depressive melodies - because i like depressive melodies "winter of the white death" is my fave...it's a must have for every depressed black metaller.
