No other reviews yet? I might have to write another soon! "A timeless journey through an emotional dream" is almost exactly what this album is, minus the timeless part. This band is too good to describe. Listening to this album is like flying across oceans and landscapes when the entire world was still sinless. Very emotional because you know you will wake from this dream, and it is not real. If it ever was, you will never see it again, except in said dreams or while meditating with the aid of this masterpiece of music. When I first heard this album I had two problems: 1) The vocals, although done well and far better than good enough, sounded rather amateurish, as if I could sing them myself (in my rockstar dreams! But I was listening to Craig Pillard's excellent vocal work on Incantation's masterpiece "Mortal Throne of Nazarene" at the time, so maybe that's why), and 2) I was completely unprepared for the pace, like that moment before and right after you have begun reading the Lord of the Rings (or other comparably lengthy novel) and you realize that maybe you don't have time for this: Make the damn time! The best stories can have the lengthiest, most boring introductions, and even the most boring midsections (like sixty s l o w pages of trudging through Mirkwood Forest!), but those parts only end up making it so much better than the rest! This is Dramatic/Conceptual/Romantic/Innocent/FantasyDreaming Death Doom at its best : slow, heavy, exhilerating. Cheesy throughout, but with just the right amount and kind of cheese, if you like romantic dramatic movies or soap opera TV show intros (for some reason I love those!). So there are your warnings: slow and cheesy, like reading a really good romance novel without all the steamy sex while taking a warm sudsy bath avec bath salts and candles (I'm straight, I really am!) but with more emphasis on the drama of your soul's desire rather than a romantic relationship. Desire are not MDB or Anathema clones. Although I've had this album since '97, I got into Doom Metal far too late to know who exactly they are clones of (maybe no-one, in fact prominent newer bands sound like Desire clones!), but they sound completey original within the genre to me: It's that SOAP OPERA edge! YUM! Get this album! But first, mail Desire money so they can print more copies of it! Hey, I had to write a long review, it's the only damn one and I have nothing better to do with my pathetic life! Except listen to Desire! Word!

From the dephts of a dark void, comes a band to lead those who grieve through a journey into the infinty of time and space, flying on wings of a mournful raven and caressed by the sound and the words to lift any doomster to a dark engaging sky.
You must have a look at this band and find out the meaning of music with feelings, even though dark.
Can't get better 10/10
