Their first full-length received some well-deserved praise and I was curious as to what this album would sound like. Just after listening to the first track titled Inferno, you know the female's voice won't be found on this record and the violin will probably be gone too. This album is indeed nothing like their atmospheric debut, A Handful of nothing being a riff-after-riff of pure swedish metal sounding like the Haunted, At the Gates or Soilwork. But don't get me wrong, this album is not a copy of what is already done, but it bears some influences with those bands while having a sound of their own. Harvester of Pain is my favorite track on this record and probably one of the best song these guys ever wrote. Well worth a listen. | Review by: arckangell I've been a fan of this band for a while, and back when this CD was released, I had to check it out. I must say, it wasn't what I expected, but that is in a good way. I've always been a big fan of Swedish melodic death metal. This CD reminds me much of At The Gates, especially in the vocals. I think every melodic death metal fan should own this CD. My choice track..."The End" Review by: HumanGenocide This album is a very good quick fix sweedish metal cd, the artwork is good, the music is good, the vocals are good, this album is good...buy it (if you need an example check out harvester of pain) Review by: barren_well This beats the shit out of At the Gates! No Slayer influence found here!! Review by: fosvart
