first of all. this is a very good release, and if you like this kind of music you will probably like this album. | but me, im a little disappointed. but that was expected since their last album was one of the best albums i've ever heard. anyways. elend made some major changes in their sound. and i would no longer want to call their work neo-classical. with this release they play something closer to noise-classical. mixing good noise parts with very beautiful soft and harmonic classical parts. the vocals are still awesome and this cd could be bought only to hear the singers mesmerizing voice. there's some female choirs or something which also sounds very good and gives a good atmosphere to music im not sure what can be said about the lyrics. im still trying to find out what they're about. they enev re-used some parts of the lyrics from thier last album, hinting that the lyrics and the whole story behind the music have been passed on to further develop the strange saga that their last album started. i like this albun alot and i think that you will have to grow on it for some time before you can really enjoy this album. 8/10 Review by: homo Welcome back Grand Master of Dark Symphony! Review by: tictoc912 I consider this to be the most well-produced album I have ever heard. The sound is just gorgeous, so natural. As far as musicwriting goes, it's still incredible (although not a standout from Elend's other works). My only issue is with the vocals - the male voice is very good but its too monotone to be used as much as it is. It suffocates some of the music, especially in "Ares in their Eyes" & "Laceration". Still, the music is simply beautiful & after a few listens it becomes easy to overlook the issue. Review by: Christmaster
