now if you buy this you aint wasting your money Review by: unicron EVIL CHURCH!!!, Hail to Enthroned! a real good album FUCK!! Review by: peter6_66 In some insidious search for the most evil record ever made, this disc keeps rising to the top and I would have to add that with my search concluded, this ranks as THE MOST EVIL RECORD that has ever graced these ears. There is a bite to the guitars that is not only paint-peeling, they paint an indelible portrait of a hellish denizen marked by pain and fire - and not the enlivening fire either, but the fire that consumes. And while the vocals don't conjure up Beelzebub himself, they do make an effective argument for at least being spoken by some closely related unholy minion. The lp topper for me is a mere 20 second or so snippet that plays as if it is the soundtrack behind the oarsman as he carries another lost soul across the River Styx, and that would be the intro to The Antichrist Summons The Black Flame. It creates this martial mood that forbodes the dread and doom for him accursed enough to call Hell their new home. Loop those 20 seconds and see if it isn't true for yourself. For those wanting to taste of that which is dedicated to the foul, the putrid, that which is ugly and ultimately dehumanizing - maybe if only to more clearly recognize a more genuine light - then that trip might just as well begin and end right here.
