In short a wonderful album, a perfect balance between creating an almost eerie and quite sombre atmosphere, and heavier doom parts. With this release, Evoken found their own sound and achieved their well-deserved cult status as a doom band. Much slower than "Shades of Night" yet more powerful. A truly masterful achievement. The only (huge) downside of this album is that it's about impossible to get outside the US. If you can ever get your hands on this one, but it! And preferably sell it to me afterwards...
