I think this is probably the most underrated Kreator album. "Pleasure To Kill" was a pretty hard album to top, and they weren't able to do it. But i think that "Terrible Certainty" is an excellent album. It might sound a little bit dry compared to their other stuff, but that's actually what i like about it. It sounds very cold and harsh, with very loud guitars and a very crunchy drum sound. Mille's vocals are really ripping. All the songs are good, especially the title track, "Storming With Menace", "Toxic Trace" and "As The World Burns". Only "One Of Us" and "No Escape" are a little bit weaker, but still very good. It's a very fast and brutal pure thrash metal album, it is definately one of the best albums to come out in 1987. I give it 90% | Review by: Napalmfucker Terrible Certainty was my first Kreator record. It won't be the last... From the same year as Slayer's RIB, it easily surpasses it on pure technical riffing-ability, and equals it for aggressivity. Solo's are equally bad though as King and Henneman's. :-) Most songs are good up to absolutely smashing - Toxic Trace being my favorite. These guys are for real and clearly wish to achieve something with their music. Great album. Review by: Clouded Sky Great album, I don't know why some people say it was weak. Well, it's not as great as Pleasure To Kill, but it's not far behind either. The songs are really aggressive and mix mid-tempo passages with damn fast ones the way we are used to it from Kreator. You should definitely check out "Toxic Trace", "Terrible Certainty" and "Behind The Mirror", very old school Thrash with a great, dirty production, angry vocals and furious drumming. Buy the remastered version if you want the five tracks from the "Out Of The Dark... Into The Light" EP as a bonus. Brutal stuff! Review by: the_patriarch
