This is a classic! The best morbid album ever. The begining is killer Immortal rites is the best one. But Maze of torment and Lord of all fever and plages can't be fogorten as good songs too | Review by: Sad spirit The best Morbid Angel album and one of the best brutal death metal albums ever Music is fast and destructive - it leaves bleeding wounds on the psychics of victims who listen to this piece of chaotic art The sick aura makes me shiver when I listen to this uneasy and fearful album Really MORBID! Review by: mik Yeah, a classic indeed. One of the best black/death albums ever. David's voice is pretty cool on this one. Too bad he turned into some kind of marylin manson bullshit. Just follow this link and you'll see what i mean http://www.genitorturers.com/sincitypromo/evildimages.html Review by: burebista Morbid Angel-Altars of Madness---Deicide-First album and Obituary-Slowly we Rot albums are cult.but this my idea =Guitar solos of these 2 bands=Morbid Angel and Deicide are rip off and copy of Slayer(Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King)..Slayer always Number 1 and GODS! :) Review by: Beyto Oh yes. This is epic. As far as I'm concerned MA never surpassed or even equalled this album that keeps banging into your ears and mind relentlessly. Few weak spots and epic production with lots of reverb on the vocals, which works out well. Review by: Clouded Sky This album seems a little bit more thrash to me. Vincent's vocals are kind of annoying on here as well, and all of the songs sound the same. It's still worth getting, especially if you are a morbid angel collector, Blasphemy, Chapel of Ghouls, Damnation are the ones that stand out for me. 70/100 Review by: fosvart MORBID ANGEL Altars of Madness: Death Metal Morbid Angel has and will always be top of the food chain when it comes to death metal. And this is were it all started. Raging guitars, hammering drums, and very smooth production. This album has a very old school sound to it and shouldn't be overlooked by any fans of Morbid Angel or Death Metal in general. 9/10 Review by: arcanechild this is the best morbid angel album ever! this cd contains classics such as chapel of ghouls, maze of torment, evil spells, etc. this is a must have for anyone into old school death metal. KICKS ASS! Review by: kithron Some says that this is the best Morbid Angel album and they are almost right !! I really like it but I think that Covenant is better. But it doesn't make Altar of Madness a boring album for sure. Back in those days this were the most extreme album ever made !! The songs are loud, fast and really really dark. I really like old school death in the early days and this one doesn't disappointed me. A must buy album for sure !!! Hail Morbid Angel !! Review by: darkann Hailz to the constitution of death metal.one of the best death metal albums .pure fucking death metal whatever can i say .morbid angel the greatest Review by: deadatheist I ran the lights for these guys in Fort Worth at a place called Joe's Garage on this tour. Altar's of Madness is the best Morbid Angel album to date. Without the vocals of David Vincent, it just does't sound like Morbid Angel anymore. If you like Black/Death metal that has a very fast beat with "some" slow crunching every now and then, you've got to get this album. I recommend it to everyone! Review by: Studster
