A great death metal album, not the best morbid ever made but still a good album. david's vocals are fuking brutal. The the guitars dosent sound to good( in my opinion). But trey riff's are killer so this is not a problem.It is a gooda album and you got to listen. Their swansong really.. nothing they made after comes close to touching the greatness of their first three albums. Songwriting is impeccable. An album packed with rage and hate. World of Shit is one of the most hateful songs ever, I love it. The first kick from the first song, Rapture also ensures you onthe brutatlity this cd shall bring. There is only one song on here I dont really like, and it's Angel of Disease. That one goes back to the "Altars of Madness" times, which isn't good in my opinion. 90/100 Review by: fosvart MORBID ANGEL Covenant: Death Metal This album is supreme. Excellant riffs and tempos and an always interesting and ever changing flow. Lyrics are also very well thought out. However I do not care for track #7; Angel of disease, it is very edgy but sounds more like Death Punk than metal which I do not care for at all. 9/10 Review by: arcanechild This is ultimate Morbid Angel. Their most heavy but also most simple album (compared to 'Altars..' and 'Blessed..'). Great pure Florida death, perfectly arranged and mastered. IMO it lacks that special something two first records got. A unique MOrbid ANgel style. 'Covenant' is a masterpiece of death metal but not a mesterpiece of Morbid Angel. But I loadore first three albums including 'Covenant' the same. 10/10 Review by: manos Amazing album !! Morbid Angel is probably the king of all Death Metal band so far !! They made occult and strange music that get your attention very quickly. Of course you have to listen to it quite a few times before really understanding what it's all about but when your done you cannot listen to anything else for month !! Azagtoth is so amazing !!
