It's the BEST Myrkskog album!!!! Brutal Agressive Total Massacre!!!!!! | Review by: Myrkskog While not as mind-shattering as Deathmachine, it nonetheless blows all other similar genre albums out of the water. Great groove, nice syncopation, and truly unparalleled musicianship. Any metalfreak with an axe can play fast, but Myrkskog moves beyond fast with its complex and infernally structured tunes. Vocals are deep but not really grunting so much as chanting with the occasional held note. Lyrics stick with the horror theme, a welcome diversion from the EveryoneHatesJesus dialogue prevalent on my CD shelf. My favorite tune is 'Over the Gore,' demonstrating that not just Paganini conspired with the devil: Destructor, Secthdamon, and Gortheon did too. Buy or steal this album. Review by: Dazmuth My favourite Myrkskog album. From the badass logo to the insane musicianship, this band just bleeds pure metal. I like Destructhor's vocals a lot more than the previous singer. His screams are low death-gutterals, but not so low that it just sounds like stomach-rumbling. I would have liked to see a bit more variation in the vocals, but they're still monstrous sounding. The guitaring is. well. so disturbingly intense I'm surprised his fingers haven't burned off. Super-fast while still keeping the groove, he knows how to rip it up. The bass isn't anything overly spectacular, but it's audible, which is something I like in a metal album. Finally, Secthdaimon is a MONSTER on drums!!! his vocals in Zyklon are good, but I think he should stick to the battery. If those drums were people they would be nothing but puddles of disintegrated bone and bloody pulp. Some variation in the songs would make it a bit more listenable, but their sheer brutality just blows me away. Overall, a straightforward "smash your skull in and then smash it some more" kind of album, but performed disturbingly well. 8.5/10 Review by: False Messiah This is on of my favorite CD's. Destructhor did a great job, and it dosen't sound like Deathmachine to much. It's always good for bands to progress and evolve. Can't wait untill the next one, and just got to say, Keep on destroying your brains with all the headbanging. Review by: MetalFan333
