This EP was the last piece of work recorded with the F.E.T.O. line-up, and although songs here are different than the ones on FETO (here they are longer and more structured), they can still be called GRINDCORE. I highly recommend this (No Mental Effort is so ADDICTIVE, so is RISING ABOVE) to any fan of the good early days, before the new line up completely changed ND to a boring DM band. The new ND memebers should have sticked to the GRINDCORE of the old ND, because frankly, starting from Harmony COrruption, they have been putting out nothing but BAD death metal, meaning NOT brutal, NOT addictive, NOT shocking, NOT good in any way, exactly contrary to what good BrutalDM shoudl be. FUCK BARNEY. Review by: terryf yeah!! nd seriously rip it up on this ep. i have to say, although it is nolomg pure grincore, those death metal textures seriously rock. i recently aquired an origional of this ep, and even though it cost £20 it was worth every penny. the last and best recording of the feto recording, if this doesnt deserve 10/10, what the fuck does??? best bits?? the intro to rise above always gives me a serious rush whenever i hear it, and bill steer's plays some decidedly evil solos on this, the "true" nd swangsong. the next few releases (up to fear... still ripped thoug)! kill for this record!!!!!!!!!
