The Downwrad Spiral, i think that album is the esence of NIN, and the album, just like say his title, carry you beyond the downward spiral, in the begining feels so anger in the songs, at the end, feels so depresive songs and bitter songs, when you have finished listen the album you are down in the spiral. Talking about the arrangements of music is a icon of industrial genre. This album includes the song "closer" one of my favorite songs because the lyrics have many different occult means.The video of this song it's a fantastic wonder of the director Mark Romanek, that video it's inspired on films of Stanley Kubrick, so the video is a great and interesting piece of art, i recommend that video for all the people who has an iconoclast ideology and hate the christianity.
