Oh man, finally Zenial put The Old Dead Tree in his page...
Brilliant..
This band has influences of pop (as they say in their website, but I don't agree at all, just listen to it, and you will agree with me), gothic influences and extreme variants of metal..
Each lyric is dedicated to their old drummer who commited suicide, so, since the first track, till the last one, you almost feel like crying, with those beautiful words...
Bass? Well, excellent, Vincent does an excellent work, and what a work...
Guitars? Munoz and Nicolas make it outstanding, they absorb you...
Drums? Absolutely killer ones...Frank became one of my favourite drummers...
Voice? Man...go listen to it...Manuel Munoz owns one of the greatest clean and more difficult voices to do, clean voices mixed with growls...sounds like perfect..
So, this is it, a French band who came from nothing and in 2003 released one of my favourite albuns of all the times... maybe while reading this review you should go to www.theolddeadtree.com and listen to their music...it's simply great...
Albuns like this are made by professionals like The Old Dead Tree, they deserve to be at the top of the metal genre...this is Great... just do a favour to yourself and listen to this majestic piece of beautiful music,...they deserve it, and your ears deserve a great sound like this too, ahahha
Killer -> 11/10

Yes, you may feel this gothic metal album sound pop, but in fact the doomy atmosphere just fucking kick ass. All the lyrics that dedicate to their former drummer are so real and so emotinal that could make you feel like to cry. The Nameless Disease is all about frustration, melancholy, and sadness. I recommend this album to all music lovers that love depressive music. Grade it 11/10 is not really exaggerated !!

It's a good cd with good male vocals and a great bass player. Number one, six, seven and four are the best songs on the cd I think.

Killer album, must have it!!! It's a unique, dynamic, unpredictible and mind blasting combination of death rock and metal with a lot of guitars and smashing drums. Never heard something like this, hope new release will be out soon.

Good debut, the music is original and interesting. The softer parts are a bit boring and too melodic, but there are some nice grunts and heavy guitar riffs.
I like very much the ending of the album with that 'Bathroom Monologue', and that short instrumental 'Transition' and of course the excellent first track.
Well not an outstanding album but nice to hear.

I didn't find it so special, as a matter of fact this album fits the nowadays gothic metal, very melodic but less interesting thinking about instrumental technic. Instead, I really appreciate "The Bathroom Monologue" song, it's deep and emotive.

I wish someone could sing this at my burial.
The lyrics are great!
The songs are (most of them) great.
Munoz's perfomance is outstanding.
I can really feel sad for the bandmembers who lost their friend.
All in all I do recommend this album to you (who is reading this).
