This is last Paradise Lost album i like. But unfortunately i only like this album. Their previous work was much better. It's fair, catchy and nicely played but a little bit boring. 7/10 Review by: misiod This is their first album i've heard, and I think it's their best one since Gothic, and the last really interesting albums they've released. Some songs are really good (the 5 or 6 first ones in fact), and I really enjoy the live versions on the 2nd cd which give some value to songs from icon or shades of God. Review by: ratus This seems to be a bit of a dud in Paradise Lost's discography, but having said that - I much prefer this to Icon, even if I end up ignoring most of the songs on this album. Enchantment, Hallowed Land, Forever Failure and Jaded are among my favourite PL songs though. The others sound like the band is trying too hard or isn't trying hard enough ... I'd say it's well worth owning if you can find it cheap - oh, and the cd artwork (by Holly Warburton) is amazing!
