Phlebotomized (after "phlebotomy," or "blood letting") is an often over-looked death metal aggregation from Holland, capable of both Suffocation's raw violence and Enslaved's serene mindscapes, including surprising, but not-at-all-misplaced violin, accoustic, and synthetic complementations. | My only complaint is the album length: excellent, 9/10! Review by: Nephren-Ka Allow me to revocate any praise I've wasted on Phlebotomized. I now realize what garbage their lyrical content is comprised of: primarily, ambiguous religious themes. At first their "praying" seemed sardonic to me, but now I understand their modus operandi: these pussy Jesus-loving white-metallers tried to infiltrate the death metal scene with its mortal enemy -- Christianity. No wonder they didn't last. Death metal + bible thumping = contradiction. Aside from that, much better riffs can be heard in the works of real fucking death metal musicians. Review by: Nephren-Ka
