I am suprised no one has reviewed any Rise albums yet. This is the only one I have heard, even though I do not have an extensive review for you readers this is what I momentarely think of DIVINE AETURNUM. | Darkened Death Metal, in what way is this Death Metal? It may not be (true)Black Metal but I would go as far as to at least say it is Progressive(Black Metal) The frequent keyboard riffs make Rise completely melodic. The guitar riffs are heavy and melodic(acustic guitar also finds its way into a good amount of the songs.) There are also alot of melodic solos, most of them are nothing too special. The drumming is descent. It is mostly double bass and not to intense but still heavy. The keyboards are erie and make the music very dark. And finally, the vocals gurgly and erie. They never change their tone except for small areas in two of the tracks. Some people may like them more then others, I personaly find them boring after a while. Overall 8/10 Review by: arcanechild Rise Divine Aeturnum: Progressive Black Metal A decent enough metal album. Often refured to as Darkened Death Metal, a genre I am not familliar with. The atmospher is very dark and meloncholic which is nothing like any death metal I have heard. So I am not sure how it is clssified in this catogory. This album has a very smooth atmosphere complete with a score of solos, acustic guitar, and keyboards. The drumwork is a bit simple and the vocalist needs more variation but still decent enough for Rise to be noticed more then they are. 8/10 Review by: arcanechild
