Sometimes, it will take a band a couple of albums to really contribute something special. For Silentium, "Altum" is it. This album is a stirring rendering of the way gothic doom music should be portrayed. The perfect balance of etheral female vox and a variety of male vocal styles. I have also, their first full length album "Infinita Plango Vulnera" where dispite the foreign nature of the title, which is sung in english, does not even come close to the majesty of "Altum". I'll be looking forward to new releases by this fine band, just because of the interest this album fired in me. A classic release by one of the most underknown bands of the goth doom genre.
