Well, this is another unexpected turn in Ulver's musical style. This time, the sounds used are considerably more delicate, with very little use of interference sounds or background noise. With synthesized orchestration in full form, soft and energetic passages overlap and intertwine in the four installments of this composition. Vocals return in an impressive way, again with Garm changing his delivery, this time in a much more emotional way, almost as a cry, slightly reminiscent of the Gregorian chants now long gone. | Special mention deserves the Nattleite/Eitttlane remix, updated to fit in a multidimensional mechanical world. It's definitely harsher than the original, but keeps the choruses. This record is highly recommended, and moreso if you liked 'Perdition City', 'Marriage' or their latest offering, 'Svidd Neger'.
