Cryptic Carnage
Rozelowe
ROZELOWE
a river cuts the land in half
each side of it equally beautiful
willows and oaks, rough and old,
they still hold the voices of birds
a touch of green recives the nature
and the sun brings back all living
spring has finally come
overhelming one with pleasure
seems as if the trees try to tell
the stories they heard long ago
nothing has changed in 800 years
listen carefully for this true...!
HOWEVER RICH A MAN MAY BE...!
It´s springtime and close to june
Forest and country are fresh and green
For duke and mistress ready for hunt
Await for the trek of the duke
The coll of wild of redeer and of swine
If entice the lord to stay here
If entice the baliffs daughter too
A girl - just a gracious wife
He starts to loving her - after all the time
From all parts of his land - peasants arrived
To bait the wild for their duke
They hunt with spears with arrows and with dogs
Each lord of the duke´s land
They let it know
The duke calls up - for coming on
However rich a man may be
He has eyes but still can´t see
What there is to come tomorrow
And what the future holds for him
All his money will not be
A guide through life for him
THE WIZARD
at the court of the duke
there lives an old magician
who tries to heal his master
in every way he can
he looks into his masters heart
forseeing his love for a woman
a dream is hunting him every year
of a young child and a white woman
the vision of a terrified face
promising misfortune
with bloody judgement
worried about the master`s fate
he advises him on avoiding
rozelowe...!
BEAUTY AT EVERYTIME
but still, the wise man´s vision
could never change the duke´s decision
his master now seeks joy in hunting
and all his men join in with
at the end of the day returning home
he sees the girl among the people
DUKE:
„do tell me, man, who is the child?“
VOIGT:
„my master, what is your intention?
she`s of my own blood and to be
married soon, will you be Guest?“
DUKE:
„i witnessed her how she grew up
her being prettier with every year
just like a flower that`s blooming
fall and now i call upon my right...!“
but still, the wise man´s vision
could never change the duke´s decision
his master now seeks joy in hunting
and all his men join in with
PRIMAE NOCTIS
A tradition old and cruel,
it`s rulers pleasure, it`s peasant`s pain.
A rule that was born long ago,
only for the benefit of one!
Ein Ritus alt und gar nicht recht,
dem Herren gut, dem Bauern schlecht,
gemeines Gebot aus alten Tagen,
nur einer wird sich daran laben...!
Einst ein Fürst ohne Gnaden
hat Weib, hat Kind, hat keine Plagen .
Ihn quält die Unruh` Tag und Nacht !
In seinen Träumen ihm - Maria lacht !
FRANZISKUS
put in chains the poor girl suffered
and the duke creates his plans.
he send Franziskus the old monk,
so she would learn about her fate!
monk:
"the lord´s not master of his temper
he will kill your father, kill your man
give in, i plead you, or he´ll make it true...!"
maria:
"oh, Franziskus, i can´t do it
been so happy but it faded
i love my father
i love my man
i will be faithful, whatever will come...!"
beeing told her decision
the lord explodes: "she lived to die, now it will be...!"
LIVED TO DIE
anonymous and all in black
his right-tightly holding the axe
the axe-inevitable for his work
the executioner is waiting silently
they lived to die so bitterly...!
duke:
"so end her father´s live now
and leave her pleading for hers own...!"
maria:
"master, still you will never get
what someone else has already won...!"
they lived to die so bitterly...!
duke:
"be quiet now it is enough...!
my rage is only growing
proceed-and kill her lover...!"
again the shadow moves...!
DISOBEDIANCE
one evening the duke
is looking down the courtyard
a sight so cruel and cold
an act of violence so senseless,
the silence is like a moaning scream,
death takes everything, just like here...!
with sun the light is fading...
„did this murder change my world?“
i am man or beast?
i did it but still lost
did i speak fair words in my decision,
or was it just an awful murder?
i`m of royal blood, noble and pure
i can`t be a murder once more
some day later, the duke is hunting
he meets two poachers by surprise
„who has given you the right to hunt?
at this old tree you shall find death
the words i speak, they are the law,
disobidiance is paid with death...!
i´m of royal blood and i will rule,
who disobeys me is to lose!
he is lose everything he owns,
for my anger is my world`s rule
the words i speak, they are the law,
disobediance is paid with death...!“
