King Apathy
Wounds
1. Civilization Kills
"The natural environment is our life-support system. Like all species we depend on its various elements to sustain ourselves. Without fresh air to breath, clean water to drink and healthy soil for our food to grow we will quickly perish. Although the vast majority of humans has been coerced into abandoning their natural habitats for artificial human environments we all still depend on air, water and soil to survive.
Therefore destroying our natural environment is suicide.
Yet that is exactly what we are doing!"
2. The Scars of the Land
This world, once living, is not dying,
it's being killed!
Anthropocene: Age of man?
Negation of life!
We all witness
the sixth extinction!
Mankind is the killer, the murderer.
Earthwrecker, domesticator, worldeater.
Extinction is not death
it's the end of birth.
Behold the scars of the land.
The neverhealing scars of the land.
We won't survive on scarred dead land.
We won't forget the scars of the land.
The scars of the land!
3. Cleansing
Smokestacks fall.
Cities are turned to dust.
Buildings collapse.
Nothing is left but vast wilderness.
The star-crowned elder
whispers songs of long forgotten days:
An aeon of balance.
A world in harmony.
Bow down to Mother Earth:
Eternal guardian of life.
Show reverence, feel the rain on your skin
and become one with the hallowed earth again.
4. Great Depression
The great depression of our lives
is a vision inside my head.
Their world will always turn
and leave us numb and blind.
Their world will always turn and have us
Working jobs we hate to buy shit we don't need.
We have no home, no place. No purpose in life!
Conditioned to consume.
Never satisfied.
Taught to envy what our neighbor`s got.
A 9-5 nightmare behind subtle bars.
Necessary evil?
Everyday catastrophe!
Work hard and die old! Work more to live less!
5. Revelation Time
Every step in the wrong direction
Never ending waves of guilt.
Hatred. I would be gone (if it wasn´t for you)
The inevitable is just postponed
A minor chord above my head is pushing me down.
A noose around my neck
I can´t stand my friends. I love them
My surroundings disgust me.
Leave me alone or take my hand.
Warmth. I am a horrible friend.
You did what I never had the guts to do.
This thought inside of me makes me shiver.
I remember the day
I remember the tears
What I did and how I didn´t know how to handle it
(Like most of you didn´t know how to handle me and)
this war inside my head
6. He Missed the Stars
We can all be scarecrows in the eyes of those
who hate without reason.
I won‘t ignore your jokes anymore.
just care about your own pathetic life.
No more murder, no more suicide
Because of how people feel and love.
instead of threatening another, Question yourself.
If love provokes you question yourself.
Fuck your religious beliefs, your pride
And your outdated moral standards.
I won‘t tolerate your intolerance!
God doesn‘t hate! she is nonexistent!
He died at midnight like too many others
too many of us...
7. Reverence
We should have shown reverence,
while hanging our heads in shame.
Our fortress casts its shadow across the barren land.
All light is drowning in its blackness.
Nothing prevails, but darkness.
Crippled cranes ascend into the burning firmament.
Dying stars sink into the poisoned marsh.
The wounded stag runs for the fallen woods.
And the scars of the land bleed black blood
onto my hands.
all attempts to plant seeds are in vain.
The seedlings wont come up in dead soil.
There is nothing left for me.
This whole world is my sepulchre.
8. Wounds
These wounds won't heal on their own.
these weary bones won't mend.
the seasons change - they say -
but not for the better.
We will face a new world.
This ravaged Earth won't forget.
When everything is ending,
we will look upon our fragile bodies
and finally we'll see:
All the scars, all the wounds we've inflicted
are nothing but our own demise.
our own demise.
9. Earthmother Rising
She rises older than the mountains,
taller than the mightiest trees.
She is the riptide washing away the world of man.
She is the storm, the cleansing!
