Their Blood Be On Us For over a thousand years They fought against the conquerors Masses of human breeds Threatened them by water and earth In the fields of sorrow So many lost... The time had come Of gods beware... The stars of honour led their way As the moons reached the ground The spirits gathered and came forth Invincible knowledge... You belong to us In the fields of sorrow So many lost... The time had come Of gods beware... ...Perpetual remembrance ...In the memory of those who died ...For the blood that had been spilled ...Their name marks The way to the skies I Am The Unknown Sky The past... so harsh The memories So real... so painful Come and take me I'm reaching my end ...Falling... The oblation to cease As I die I trust myself in hands of death The sky I embrace On golden wings I am the unknown sky The realms Of love and hate Grief and joy ...Sins... Sins, I'm made of... And darkened dreams My darkened eyes My darkened dreams ...Sins... Your arms are open I gaze inside The night stands restless She feels the signs ...Of my sins... Until the Night Cries Rise in Your Heart Burn the sky for me And I'll seal the folds of your sighs I'll inhale the embers of my pyre When the stars will culminate I am now provoking the fire On dark the shadow I create I sat at the edge of my sight And looked over the sea of thine You dwelled into my eve Your caress sung to my desire How bitter that autumn night Angels (still) weep for My feeble existence Dreamt of leaves Falling from my arms A poet's vision... a broken glass Breathless now and anxious Of desires full of hate Thus I seek the ocean's soul In my era I had claimed My demons' shameful fantasies (Thy) triumphant sun is slave Engraved in the dusk's eclipse The scented roses die Seduction... oh the primal aim As if in nature's tasks Some words are spoken when in love The night cries in your heart ...And the Everdawn Faded Away As the moon cries over me And the soul mourns the light of day I will come to search for thee On every mountain, in every sea Oh gods observe the bridge of the rain As she falls... She wears the winter's veil Roseat wind... midnight wraith Thou wilt weep... Thou wilt wither I will come to search for thee On every mountain, in every sea Oh gods observe the bridge of the rain As she falls... She wears the winter's veil Oh sombre... celestial wars Oh everdawn... Immortal loss Oh mother... your very eyes ascend Shall They Come Forth Unto Us As the oceans swallow The might of forgotten eras And the shadows grow With the early coming of winter The skies hide their azure mantles As the encrimsoned glimmer Leaves the day behind The crown of the scarlet eve Embraces the horizon The skies hide their azure mantles An aura of a culture lost The heritage of an unbridled wisdom Contemplation Of the harmonious infinity Imperishable passion The dust of the centuries Seeks the rays of a desired utopia As the moonlight grows The unknown seems so grim The skies hide their azure mantles Throughout the misty landscapes Beyond the fiery shores The echoes from them breathing The woods whisper their song Arcana Caelestia ...In midnight fog The wolves foretell a story The ones have passed the silver walls And gaze beyond the grey horizons Across the end... the end of light The spheres are gathering so close Dawn! Of witchcraft's glory Night! The ravenous moon awaits Sovereignty! A vision of the bitter end Declare to us the things to come Descended from the unknown fields And through the misty clouds Their eyes are blazing in the dark They own the secrets of the stars Icons of obscurity Bring forth the ancient thrill The howl's spread the despair Penitence is drawing near Aghasted nightly creatures Their heaven need to claim Grievousness... Unholiness Are about to be raised The End Shall Be Tragically Fulfilled Mother thunder heal my heart As the night falls... The dark is gone... no more Mother thunder feel my blood As the sun rises... My veins are cold... no more The endless forests of my heart In silence... slow... they wither I lie down as one with sorrow I wish I was never true Everything and nothing The magic lost its touch My heaven's so tired I'm leaving... Whatever appeared in front of me Will now be past The portrait of my life A shadow among others Weakness I feel I know it's time... My will has left me The tragedy lasted for so long But now it's over... forever gone The Last Star of Heaven Falls (instrumental) Wither, Oh Divine, Wither The eyes of mine ...Oh the beauty within Of the far away forgotten lands One shall remain untouched The era unfolds its silence So bright... so sad So majestic... all gone Thy silky scent Wither, oh divine, wither Take me with you... take me away Longing for the million suns Oh the sorrowfilled chants The echoes are still breathing I can see me right upon the sky Reflecting my cast... in bitterness I dwell within your touch Thy silky scent Wither, oh divine, wither Take me with you... take me away Have I not whispered thy name? Have I not cried for thee? Thy silky scent Wither, oh divine, wither Take me with you... take me away The puppets were dancing The dance is over The mirror I see Revealed the end The end of what is thee Under my pity I grow Lyrics in plain text format |

There will be no further warnings. Everlasting capture at Praxis Studio during Spring 1997 Console guidance by L. Spheeris and A. Vaitoudis Produced by The Elysian Fields and L. Spheeris All odes and poetic hate by The Elysian Fields Cover tribute painting by E. Saparevski To you who operated against The Elysian Fields' efforts and doubted our devotion War To All. I first heard them on the "Wicked World" sampler with the song "Shall they come forth unto us" where they geniously combined fast black/death and beautiful violin. The rest of the album also has this varied style. Mainly it is fast melodic black/death, but some songs even remind me of Amorphis and Paradise Lost. I don't think the slower songs really suit them, but the fast songs are so fucking brilliant that The Elysian Fields deserve a lot more attention than they get. Rating: 8 out of 10
